System Configuration

Main programmable logic controller

Central part of the whole system. Communicates with NLS3000 subsystems via MODBUS RTU for monitoring and control of navigation lights. Controls heaters and outdoor deck lights. Generates HTML5 visualization running on the PLC, displayed at operation panels.

Operation Panel

IEC60945 approved 10inch panel PCs with touch displays running Linux (Lubuntu 20.04). Configured to auto-start a web browser in fullscreen mode displaying PLC visualization.

Main module MM01-E

Central unit of each NLS3000 system. Contains configuration and monitors 2 power supplies, controls lantern modules/channels, provides data to Modbus module. Monitors all configured modules and provides dry contacts for lantern or general system failure.

Lantern module LM08-E / LM08-L

Each module has 8 lantern channels with independent switching monitored by current. Manual hardware switches for fallback. LM08-L is modified for low-current LED lights. Each channel fused by 6×20mm glass fuse.
